Notes: The Beatles appeared on the UK TV program "Frost on Sunday" and performed "Hey Jude" in front of a live audience. There
were three takes of "Hey Jude" filmed.To get around the still on-going ban on miming they sang live over a backing track.In
the UK their performance was shown 4 days later on Sept 8, 1968 and in America it was broadcast on "The Smothers Brothers
Comedy Hour" on Oct 6, 1968. "Top of The Pops" also broadcast the David Frost performance whilst it was #1 on the charts.

The second take was used for the "Frost on Sunday" broadcast and a compile from Takes 1 & 3 was used for the "Smothers Brothers"
broadcast in America.A new compile taken from all of the 3 Hey Jude takes was made for release on the "Beatles Anthology"
(though it was incomplate) and this complete new compile was later released on the "1+" DVD/Blu-ray release.This also has the
"David Frost Intro #2" at the start.There is also a split screen version of the 4 versions of "Hey Jude" on Youtube which
makes for interesting viewing regarding the edits.All three raw takes of "Hey Jude" have been bootlegged in wonderful quality
plus the "Smothers Brothers" broadcast is also available in very good quality.
