first American visit. The doco was eventually released on home video as "The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit" in November 1991
and then remastered and re-edited for DVD release in February 2004.The main difference with the VHS & DVD issue compared to
the original 1964 TV special is that the DVD has added in some of the "Ed Sullivan Show" and Washington concert performances and extended some of the original segments.

The original TV special ran 45 minutes; The VHS and the DVD are both 83 minutes in length but minus the "Ed Sullivan Shows" and
the "Washington Concert" footage there is only around 42 mins from the original doco.

The TV & concert performances are:
The Ed Sullivan Show #1: All My Loving; Till There Was You; She Loves You; I Want To Hold Your Hand
Washington Coliseum Concert: I Saw Her Standing There; I Wanna Be Your Man; She Loves You
The Ed Sullivan Show #2 (Miami): From Me To You; This Boy; All My Loving
The Ed Sullivan Show #3: Twist & Shout; Please Please Me; I Want To Hold Your Hand

Also a 51:14 minute special feature "The Making of The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit" was added exclusively to the DVD release which contains a lot of outtake footage not found elsewhere.
