Notes: Paul McCartney and Mary Hopkin both made appearances on a TV show made in the UK for US audiences on this day.

The programme was David Frost Presents Frankie Howerd, which was intended to introduce comedian and actor Howerd to American
audiences. It was filmed at Stonebridge House in Wembley, London, where production company InterTel (VTR Services) was based.

The original date for filming was to have been 2 June, but had been pushed back due to scheduling conflicts. David Frost
Presents was essentially a vehicle for showcasing British talent, and McCartney used the opportunity to bring Hopkin to a wider audience.

McCartney was interviewed by Howerd, with questions scripted by Frost. They discussed The Beatles intentions for Apple, and how
they hoped it would support new talent. McCartney then introduced Hopkin, who performed House Of The Rising Sun
