Notes: On this day in May 1966 The Beatles filmed a number of promo videos for "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" - their new single.
These promos would be for broadcast in America and Europe. All promos were filmed onto video tape.
In the morning they taped "Rain" followed by "Paperback Writer" in colour for use on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in America.
They also taped a special introduction as well. The original edit of "Paperback Writer" was restored and re-mastered for inclusion on the "1+" Blu-ray in November 2015.
