Notes: "CBS News" filmed their arrival and the following press conference at JFK airport in New York.
There is only 15 seconds of actual footage from the press conference with the rest of the raw footage focusing on the fans outside.
After their arrival at JFK airport they held their first ever American press conference inside the airport.
Every TV network and newsreel company were present as well as dozens of radio and press reporters.
FAB Productions has made a good compile from every available source and pieced together most of the very chaotic press conference.
Mostly taken from NBC, ABC & CBS footage but no doubt the Associated Press and Reuters were in amongst them all as well.
Over the years snippets from the PC have been broadcast in many documentaries and anniversary news items.
This footage is usually in excellent quality and these are the captures I have used however the rest of the footage varies from bad to average.
So far all known footage is in black and white and no colour film has been found although colour photographs do exist.
