Notes: Whilst in Manchester British Pathe filmed The Beatles in technicolour for a newsreel entitled "The Beatles Come To Town".
This stunningly beautiful raw colour footage includes backstage dressing footage,
meeting the press, fans reactions and two songs from the concert - "She Loves You" and "Twist and Shout".
In 1965, "The Beatles Come To Town" performance footage was used in the feature film "Pop Gear" (and re-titled "Go Go Mania" in America).
This newsreel was also made available commercially from Pathe as a 8mm film sometime in early 1964 for home use.
