Notes: The Beatles most prestigious performance so far occurred tonight at The Prince of Wales Theatre in London.
It was for the "Royal Variety Performance" in front of The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.
The show was televised and gave the Beatles their biggest TV audience so far and cemented "Beatlemania" across Great Britain.
The Beatles performed four songs: "From Me To You", "She Loves You", "Till There Was You" and "Twist and Shout".
They also appeared at the end of the show on stage with all the other performers to sing "God Save The Queen".
"ITN News" were allowed to film some of their afternoon rehearsal of which less than a minute of silent footage still exists.
