"World Music Awards" that were televised live from Monte Carlo to various parts of the globe.
In England it was screened live by the ITV network. Ringo was there to briefly introduce and then later present an award to up and coming performer Tanita Tikaram.
Ringo himself was introduced onto the stage by actor Don Johnson.
